**Job Description**:
Mikros Animation is currently in-production on several full CG feature films, including The Tiger's Apprentice, produced by Paramount Animation. Paced by its action and moments of emotion, the project is filled with complex, dynamic human and animal characters, necessitating a wide range of stylized cloth, hair and fur simulation.

The CFX Lead will collaborate, support and innovate to deliver CFX shot work for the film, in accordance with the artistic vision of the director and the quality expectations of the project.

**Your main responsibilities will be**:

- Provide high-level artistic, technical and workflow leadership for a team of feature-animation CFX artists.
- Collaborate with the supervisor, TD´s and team leaders to develop innovations, best practices and strategies to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Work to ensure the artistic vision of the directors is carried through the shot production pipeline.
- Support and collaborate with shot artists, while identifying technical issues and working with the relevant teams to resolve them.
- Work closely with the CFX Production Coordinator to maintain efficiency, team communication, and quota.
- Work alongside the CFX Supervisor and downstream departments to maintain a high level of quality control in the final shot output.

**Qualifications**:
**Skills and experience required...**
- Strong experience in Maya, Ncloth /Nhair
- Deep understanding of the principles of simulation and dynamics
- Proficient skills in technical problem solving
- Understanding of the principles of animation
- Previous team management experience required
- Ability to interpret and follow artistic direction
- Previous experience in feature animation
- Fluent in English
- Collaborative work ethic

**...And additionnal assets**:

- Knowledge of Python/MEL
- Experience in Yeti X-Gen or other fur grooming packages
- Experience in Houdini, Vellum or other dynamics solvers
