**About the Role**
As a Business Controller in the Freight Forwarding division, you will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. You will lead budgeting and forecasting processes, analyze financial data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost structures and improve operational efficiency. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
**How You Will Contribute**
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor financial performance against forecasts.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis and actionable insights.
- Conduct profitability and cost analysis across services, routes, and customers.
- Collaborate with operations and procurement to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support business decisions with financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, tools, and reporting processes.
- Partner with other departments to gather insights and support cross-functional initiatives.Participate in audits and contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
**What You Will Bring**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/CMA preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Controller, ideally in logistics or freight forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, reporting standards, and accounting practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools; experience with automation is a plus.
- Willingness to travel 20-30% across the region.
- Fluency in English; additional languages, especially French, are a plus.
