**Role Description**:
We have an exciting opportunity in our Paris office to join our Global Markets (GM) Business Controls Officer (BCO) team. You will be responsible for supervising the activity of our Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) businesses and, to a lesser extent, Equities businesses in the EU. You will collaborate with the Head of GM BCO EU, the BCO team (in the UK and across the region) and COO teams in each country to ensure that the controls framework is common and effective. You will also have frequents interactions with our Enterprise Control Functions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the FICC business in the strategic understanding and practical mitigation of their non-financial risks
- Implementing the front office supervision and control arrangements using the firm’s tools
- Ensuring the supervisors are aware of any issues - and are aware of their ongoing responsibilities to supervise
- Reviewing daily activity reports to identify any areas of concern for follow up and escalation
- Helping to drive control initiatives across the EU to ensure the business is effectively managing all its operational risks
- Assessing root cause and mitigating controls for operational events and errors and contributing to the Risk & Control Self-Assessments
- Managing audit issue identification and remediation and handling Audit and Regulatory visits as the control face of the business
- Being the lead of regional projects and/or a regional representative in global projects involving supervision and/or controls for the LOB

**What we are looking for**:

- Industry experience in the Global Markets businesses (ideally in Front Office and control/risk-oriented positions)
- General knowledge of EU and US regulations (MiFID, MAD/MAR, swap dealers, etc.)
- Excellent understanding of conduct issues applicable to Global Markets
- Strong communication/relationship skills (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of Rates and Credit market
- Fluent in French and English both written and verbal
- Ability to have a data driven approach
- Ability to run complex, collaborative analytical projects
