- To maximize the full value of such Power assets on spot markets, TotalEnergies Gas & Power aims to be present at each step of the value chain: from trading on the curve up to Day Ahead optimization, Intraday and ancillary services.
- This optimization of Short Power positions is based on a European framework with aggregation of generation (CCGT, Wind, Solar), flexibilities (DSR, Batteries), and power supply portfolio in order to maximize value creation for TotalEnergies company.
- The job holder is required to manage and develop a team that is based in Paris, while interacting with multiple teams spread across several European locations for trading execution.
- The team will act in an uncertain energy commodity trading context with extreme market volatility due to a variety of factors including worldwide economics, energy resource development, political and legislative changes, climate change, and energy demand.

- The activity is executed on a 7/7 basis, while requiring a strong cooperation with 24/7 Dispatching team for potential overnights trading opportunities.
- The Manager is responsible for European Intra-day Trading activity on European short-term markets (dedicated P&L). The EU Intra-day trading team is also the referent team for Auto&Algo Trading design for the whole ST Trading Europe teams.**Team management**
- Effectively recruit, train, and develop employees,
- Foster team spirit,
- Maintain high level of expertise within the team to be recognized as intraday market experts for other teams within the Company,
- Ensure good support with local control centers when deploying ID Algo&Auto trading.

**Intraday Trading**
- Lead quantitative analysis supporting trading strategies,
- Develop analytical tools enabling market opportunities identification, decision-making and arbitrages,
- Define proprietary intraday trading strategies respecting risk mandate and propose it to Management,
- Execute proprietary intraday trading strategies on Short-term European Power Markets, under risk policy and compliance rules,
- Design, build, deploy and back-test Intra-day Algo&Auto Trading for both asset-based trading and proprietary trading,
- Monitor Intraday robots performance and P&L resulting from Algo&Auto trading activities,
- Monitor evolutions in the various European markets in partnership with others Short-term Power teams.

**What is the ideal profile?**
- Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, engineering, business administration or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of energy markets trading experience required, including a prior experience in Proprietary Trading
- In-depth understanding of energy industry, power market structure, commodity and financial trading, and risk management
- Track record of delivering innovative business projects and achieving targets
- Excellent analytical skills (Quantitative approach, data science, modelling)
- Ability to work in a team environment; ability to communicate effectively across teams, and handle IT related projects
- Willingness to grow a business and to set-up a team
- Management skills for trader profiles
- Well-organized and capacity to work under pressure
- Strong desire to be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
