**YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
**Within the Group, you will join the Group Underwriting Office (GUO) in the Life, Savings and Health UW department**. The GUO was created in 2023 to steer the performance of our insurance portfolio and support our reinforced focus on technical excellence. The platform also contributes to define our global ambition and approach to new emerging risks related to the energy transition and cyber in the coming years.

Within this Department, you will be part of the **Medical Underwriting Team** reporting to the Chief Medical Officer as U**nderwriting and Business Integration Senior Expert**.

**YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES**:
**Lead, develop and achieve results with the group retail underwriting strategy**:

- Developing technical expertise, training and guidance to AXA entities on medical and non-medical aspects of retail underwriting
- Sponsor best practice sharing within entities, use industry insights and partner with other AXA departments to enable solutions for underwriting challenges and to keep abreast with new developments
- Conceptual thinking to lead the development of innovative solutions in medical and non-medical underwriting in partnership with entities and technology experts
- Coordinate efforts that will enable entities to identify the key features, benefits and select the most viable solution to build a competitive advantage and support their growth strategy

**Build technical excellence through technology and data in Life and Health retail underwriting**:

- Accelerate AXA’s transformation in Life and Health underwriting, notably by identifying solutions that can be scaled
- Establish effective collaborative relations with AXA GBS, AXA GO and the entities to develop a strategy
- Support entities implementing modern Life and Health medical Underwriting solutions, including AI driven ones, being compliant with international regulations (e.g. GDPR, European Union AI act.).

**Community and relationship management**:

- Collaborate, negotiate, and influence people in other AXA departments such as AXA GO, GIE IT, AXA GBS, and external partners such as reinsures and providers of technical solutions

**Main focus area**:

- Lead “Modernize Health Underwriting”, a strategic initiative for AXA, aiming to increase the number of lives in our portfolios by enhancing the sophistication of our underwriting and improving both broker and customer experience at the point of sale, notably with a focus on the segment of individuals suffering from chronic conditions in a mild form.

For Italy, Spain, Mexico, Japan and Hong Kong:

- Identify new medical impairments to cover, and/or improve existing ones and current UW philosophy to accelerate inclusive & sustainable growth.
- Identify entity’s pain points and see how their current growth performance can be improved.
- Go through the existing Tools & dashboards, understand how key KPIs are monitored, and drive acceleration of their business performance.
- Agree on action plans & drive implementations at the entity level (assist in project planning, status reporting, and coordination of project activities, ensuring alignment with timelines and objectives).
- Support the entity in developing business cases for IT transformations

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Advanced knowledge of life insurance industry principles and practices including life insurance operations, reinsurance practices, product, sales concepts, compliance and legal issues, underwriting and distribution.
- Ideally experience in developing interconnected services helping to streamline customer journeys
- More than 10 years of experience in business development of platform solutions providing connected services
- More than 10 years of experience in managing data driven solutions, data driven decision management solutions, including defining of key performance indicators and needs for compliant data exchange between services and operations
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate findings, performance standards, and provide detailed feedback
