Within the Group,
you will join the
Group Underwriting Office.
The GUO was created in 2023 to steer the performance of our insurance portfolio and support our reinforced focus on technical excellence. The platform also contributes to define our global ambition and approach to new emerging risks related to the energy transition and cyber in the coming years.

Within this Department, you will be part of the team
Long Tail Commercial Lines Underwriting
team, which covers casualty products, financial lines, cyber, motor, etc.

Your Role And Responsabilities

• To maintain alignment within the organization, the Cyber & Financial Lines Senior UW Expert is responsible for
• Products Building, facilitating, and overseeing an efficient P&C Commercial Lines Underwriting framework for Lines of Businesses within his remit including Group guidelines structuring and maintenance.
• Creating and implementing a consistent oversight strategy including the monitoring of P&L evolution, any deviation, and claims.
• Supporting entities/region through regular technical audits (e.g., In-Depth Reviews, Technical Reviews, Preliminary Reviews) and group referrals when required,
• Supporting Entities' Product Approval Process up to a Group validation enabling consistency across entities,,

The Cyber & financial Lines Senior UW Expert is responsible for following

• Cyber Products (Direct Cyber) for Commercial Lines and Retail for All distribution channels (including MGA)
• Indirect Cyber (Cyber exposures in non-Cyber products) as a support to the dedicated Head of Lob's
• Financial Lines Products (Mainly D&O, Crime and EPL) and LoB for Commercial Lines.

YOUR PROFILE

• Background minimum 7/8 years in P&C including 3 years in Underwriting
• Good knowledge of Cyber business and/or Financial Lines operations including Underwriting, Pricing, Claims, Reserves and Reinsurance, enabling to have a thorough understanding of business insurance rationale, processes and profitability and any potential P&C risk.
• Easy manipulation of complex financial figures connected to insurance activity monitoring.
• Reinsurance knowledge (treaties and facultative)

Soft Skills

• Able to lead through influence and persuasion to challenge and orient the P&C strategy and operations at Group or Entity level.
• Able to develop structured argumentation to sell ideas, convince and embark various types of stakeholders (different hierarchy levels and business background).
• Able to deliver high-level presentation in front of senior management or entities CEOs.
• Agility to work in a multifaceted P&C world (Local vs Group, Small vs Large entities, worldwide underwriting cultures).
