Group & Events Sales Manager (Based in Athens)

**About the job**

Based at the Athens Offices of Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Sales & Marketing Department, the Group & Events Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales.

**As Group & Events Sales Manager, y**ou will be responsible for the following duties**:

- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets for groups with an emphasis on social events.
- Proactively source, negotiate, and close group and event bookings from domestic and international markets.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
- Drive sales initiatives to establish Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino as a premier luxury destination.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Organize and attend client engagement and industry partners’ activities either at the resort or other national and international locations, when necessary.
- Ensure a high-end luxury performance and communication style is followed in any opportunity given and respect the brand’s guidelines across the board.
- Ensure all other administrative duties are completed to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Standard Operating Procedures for the Sales Department.
- Support company's philosophy and company culture using Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
- Promote a behavior that remains open to continuous learning, be willing to share knowledge among team members and focus on growing within their role.

**As Group & Events Sales Manager, we expect from you**:

- EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver results under pressure.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- An experienced and developed network of MICE and Social contacts from all Global Markets.
- Proficient in English; fluency in Greek is a plus.
- Fluency in Microsoft office, Salesforce.
