**About the job**

Based at the Athens Offices of Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Sales & Marketing Department, the Director of Marketing & Communications manages and leads the team of marketing, digital, creative, and communications experts to drive company growth, brand recognition and brand loyalty, under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Commercial Strategy and in keeping with the delegation of authority. The Director of Marketing & Communications reports to the Director of Commercial Strategy.

**As Director of Marketing & Communications, you will be responsible for the following duties**:

- Develop positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation that creates awareness, adoption, engagement, and retention to increase market share.
- Oversee all matters relating to the marketing and communications plan, including brand positioning, partnerships, media relations, digital marketing, consumer relationship management, social media, advertising, co-marketing activities with luxury brands, brand identity and collateral production, as well as all other marketing activities for the hotel to ensure fully integrated campaigns.
- Act as Brand Ambassador internally and externally, as well as hotel spokesperson where appropriate and approved.
- Maintain strong relationships with local and international media.
- Ensure adherence to Mandarin Oriental Corporate Identity guidelines for all promotional and in-house materials.
- Prepare annual expenditure proposal for all marketing and communications activities, as well as forecast and allocate the approved budget as per ongoing activities monthly.

**As**Director of Marketing & Communications**, we expect from you**:

- EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Marketing & Communication environment, preferably within the Travel & Hospitality industry, Fashion or Luxury Goods.
- Must hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant field - communications, public relations, or marketing.
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Digital Marketing knowledge is preferable.
- Fluency in English & Greek.
