As senior product manager hardware you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our quantum computing hardware.

In close collaboration with the architecture team, who is responsible for the technical roadmap, which defines, among others, the technical initiatives implementing the functional features from the product roadmap:

- You will be responsible for coordinating the definition of our hardware product roadmap.
- You will use your excellent communication skills to reach alignment on the product roadmap with stakeholders from the hardware, software, marketing and sales departments.
- Based on market and competitor analyses provided by the marketing team and your own user research, you will represent the voice of customers.
- You will oversee the entire product life cycle from design and development to production, delivery and support.

With both quantum computers and staff being in high demand, priorities need to be balanced between developing new features, the use of the our hardware by internal and external users, and production and maintenance work. To this end, you will analyze potential new features based on opportunity, cost and risk, and reach alignment on prioritization, so that we only work on the most important topics.

As Pasqal is shifting from a purely research-driven organization towards a product-centric way of working, **a significant part of the role will consist of implementing product management processes**, **educating people about product management and nurturing a product mindset**.

You will be part of a dynamic team of product managers led by the VP product, who reports directly to the co-CEO of the company.

The hardware product roadmap and technical roadmap give direction to the hardware development and production teams composed of around 70 people, organized in a matrix organization. Individual feature development projects are led by project managers.

**Your missions and responsibilities will include**:

- Creation of hardware product vision and roadmap in coordination with stakeholders from sales, marketing, software, production, commissioning, support and C-suite.
- Performing user research and representing the user perspective within the hardware team.
- Define hardware product versions and features.
- Oversee the entire product life cycle.
- Ensure prioritization of feature development projects.
- Evangelizing a product mindset throughout the hardware department.
- Ensure proper product and user documentation.
- Aligning hardware roadmap with software and commercial roadmaps.

**About you**
- MSc in Physics, Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in complex hardware product development.
- 3+ years of experience as hardware product manager.

Hard skills:

- Experience with complex hardware systems combining advanced technologies like optics, electronics, mechanics and/or UHV.
- Experience in quantum computing is a big plus.
- Experience with PLM/PDM tools would be really appreciated

Soft skills:

- Excellent communication skills
- Professional proficiency in English (Proficiency in French is a bonus)
- Team player, versatile, organized, pro-active, autonomous and creative
- Capacity to achieve goals through influence rather than power
- Experience in change management
