PASQAL designs and develops Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) and associated software tools.
In addition to the exceptional computing power they provide, QPUs are highly energy efficient and will contribute to a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of the HPC industry.

As part of our strong growth, we are recruiting a Quantum Graph Machine Learning Project Lead to reinforce our Application team.

In this context, you’ll work among top scientists and developers in the quantum industry. You will work in partnership with our quantum developers teams in France and in the Netherland, as well as our quantum hardware teams.

You will manage and mentor a team of 5+ quantum graph algorithm researchers at various levels in their career (from Junior to Mid-Senior), organize its work, lead the members and follow up on internal and external projects.

You will work with the hardware teams to coordinate the choices and decisions.

You will also support quantum algorithm developers working on client projects.

We'll provide training and provide technical experts as you get introduced to the company, algorithm portfolio and hardware specifics. Being a senior level role, having a thorough understanding and experience in general quantum computing and related technology will be required coming in on day 1.

This position will report directly to our Head of Graph Quantum Computing Algorithms. The work will be based on site in our Massy office (remote/hybrid option negotiable under exceptional circumstance).

**About you**

Soft skill
- You hold a PhD in quantum computing, graph machine learning or a related field (physics, engineering, computer science, applied mathematics etc.)
- You have 3-5 years of work experience (including academic or private sector) in applied research or computer science (applied mathematics, computational physics, computational research, machine learning, etc.)
- You have at least some experience (1+ years) managing scientific/technical people
- You have experience speaking to technical audience
- You are reactive
- You are independent and autonomous
- You possess initiative and are self-driven
- You are organized and structured

Hard skills:

- Solid knowledge of either Classical Graph Machine Learning, or Quantum Machine Learning
- Supervision experience allowing to supervise a team of up to 5 people
- Experience working with Python (Knowledge of Julia, C++, CUDA is a bonus)
- Experience with Git/collaborative coding and code review
- Experience programing on GPU appreciated
- Report / documentation writing
- English fluency
