SuperGrid Institute has been ranked every year since 2018, reaching the podium 3 times in the INPI prize list. **General Context** The "Cables and Materials" programme is looking for an R&D Team Leader in Materials for Electrical Insulation. Reporting to the Programme Director, your entrepreneurial spirit will enable you to build the research and development roadmap for your team. On a day-to-day basis, your role will be to supervise an R&D team and to support them in the day-to-day running of research projects focused on polymer and composite materials for electrical insulation. **Objectives / Missions** - You will develop the R&D roadmap for the Materials team: - Structuring of projects: proposal of technical roadmap and preparation of quotations - Monitoring of the patent portfolio - In these missions, you will work in collaboration with the sales and collaborative projects teams and you will be involved in interactions with customers and partners - You will be responsible for the direct management of the Materials team consisting of 3 members: - Hierarchical and technical supervision with emphasis on developing the skills of your team - Supervision of the laboratory, maintenance of equipment and development of testing and characterisation setup - Reporting on the activities of the Materials team (milestones, workload and budget) - You will be involved in the various projects of the Materials team: - Role of project leader or support to project leaders in your team - Conducting tests, analysing results, developing new test benches - Various projects: internal research, collaborative research or customer subcontracting - You will maintain leading-edge expertise in your field (polymer chemistry and composites) - Cross-functional role as a materials referent for the various technologies studied at SuperGrid Institute - Internal research oriented towards publication and participation in conferences in the field of dielectric materials - Participation in scientific working groups Engineer or Doctor in Materials Chemistry with 5 to 10 years experience in R&D and more precisely in the field of electricity. You are a scientist and have a real taste for research. - Experience in R&D project management - Experience in polymer and composite materials - Knowledge of dielectric materials for high voltage insulation would be a plus - Fluency in English Soft skills - Taste for initiative, strength of proposal and excellent communication skills - Ability to build a multidisciplinary network and work in project mode - Make customer satisfaction your priority.
