About the role
**What you need to know**:
The senior claims handler deals with a portfolio of Environmental Impairment Liability (EIL) claims and General Liability claims on national and multinational accounts: coverage and liability assessment, damage evaluation, follow-up of legal proceedings or settlement negotiation
She/he will coordinate lawyers, adjusters, brokers
Internal reporting in particular to top management on major claims
Communicating with Profit Center/department involved
Being AIG's EIL claims representative to institutional insurance organizations
**What we’re looking for**:
**Experience**:
Masters level degree in insurance Law or Environmental Law,
Successful experience with an insurer or broker, min 5-7 years in a similar position or having worked in an environment that would be similar to the one of Claims Handling (Litigation/counsel work for example in a law firm)
Ability to work in an International Environment where the use of English is frequent, written and spoken, and a key career driver
We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, who is looking to work in a very engaging work environment with the ability to support the growth of the EIL Business in France with Claims as the Differentiator
Ability to challenge themselves in a very competitive market with the capacity to use empowerment in their role as a clear personal motivator
Ability to be tuned into the market and represent AIG Claims in various Market activities and functions
