Field Service Engineer

**Job Description Summary**: The Field Service Engineer will work within a team of field engineers and will ensures the technical follow-up of installation, preventive, and curative maintenance of our connected medication management solutions. He/she will provide a remote and on-site reactive service for BD devices (infusions & dispensing) technologies located within hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. He /She will participate in meeting related to pre-installation testing, reconfiguring, and documentation of uncovered technical issues of all applicable connected medication management solutions.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain activity schedules and monitor workload.
- Manage relationships with internal project teams (monitoring current installations, customer feedback, etc.)
- Ensures customer satisfaction by responding to inquiries in a timely manner and coordinating customer service needs with other departments as required.
- Dispatch and prioritizes assigned service orders, for remote and field assistance based on customer feedback.
- Performs reactive/proactive Preventive Maintenance as assigned.
- Handles problem recognition, resolution and follow-up for routine customer issues.
- Manages spare parts per the parts management policy and procedures
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of our Connected Medication Management Solutions.

**Preferred competencies**
- Minimum of Bac+2/3 (University degree) higher education in electronics certification for electromechanical devices, preferably in medical field
- Minimum of 5 years experience, ideally in a field function, in the maintenance of high-tech equipment in the medical environment.
- A team management experience in a demanding customer environment is a nice to have.
- Excellent customer and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- A good level of English is required for this position (internal and external training and communication in English).

**Travel requirements & Location of the position**

The role will require travel across the Region (France & Benelux) in support of colleagues & customers as required including overnight travel to meetings, training courses and conferences outside of the Region (Europe) will be necessary from time to time.

The position is home-based with travel to customer sites in the territory within the Region which required possessing and maintaining a valid driver’s license and meet BD’s auto safety standards.
