Mission:
The offered role to be replaced is a Role in the HBCE Regulatory Conduct and Policy Oversight Team, covering Conduct and Whistleblowing activities (WB), with a direct report to the HBCE Head of Conduct.

The role needs to cover the HBCE WB activities:

- Ensuring that HSBC Confidential is promoted as a safe, simple and confidential way to raise whistleblowing concerns
- Ensuing that Individuals are aware of procedures to be followed if they want to raise, or if they receive, a whistleblowing concern
- Ensuring the standards are set to protect Persons raising whistleblowing concerns, including in relation to independence of investigations, confidentiality and protection from retaliation
- Providing a globally consistent approach to the capture, assessment, allocation, investigation and reporting of whistleblowing concerns
- Ensuring governance and management oversight of whistleblowing arrangements
- Ensuring the follow-up of actions arising from whistleblowing investigations

The role also includes Advisory activity on French and European regulation to French Compliance teams, as well as EU Branches CCO’s teams, and involvement in HBCE Governance, notably through the role of secretary of the HBCE WB Oversight Committee.

The role is also dedicated to support the Head of Conduct in her Day-to-day activities:

- Conduct Risk Management relating to HSBC’s culture, strategy, business model
- Conduct risk management implementation including seeking to deliver fair customer outcomes at all stages of customer and individual products life cycles, as well as acting with integrity in financial markets.
- Conduct governance
- Conduct new approach development
- Conduct Risk Stewardship (incl IRIS & ORION Updates)
- Conduct regulation follow-up and involvement in key working groups / meetings of the local French Banking Associations
- Ensure good relationships and suitable cascade of Group and Regional conduct intiatives
- Contribute in Education & Training, Governance & Reporting and conduct Transformation.

The role will also support the Head of Conduct in HBCE ombudsman and Product governance activities.

Requirements

Working Experience: 3-5 years in a Compliance or Legal department in a Financial/Banking Institutions/Consulting

Master 2 in Legal or Compliance / Business Management Schools

Hard Skills: Legal/Consulting/Compliance

Soft skills: flexibility, capacity to evolve in a continuous changing environment, good relationships with peers and senior management, as well as ability for closly working with international teams

English: Fluent

Sytems: Pack Microsoft Office, apetite for using new IT systems
