Job Description*
We are looking for an **Apparel Creative Director W/M** to: *
- Lead the Shanghai design team to meet brand commercial and consumer goals

**You will work in close collaboration with our Design, Product/Category Management, Merchandising, Development, Colour Team, Quality team, SAIL Innovation Director, Footwear and WSE Design Leaders teams.**
**You will report directly to the Vice President, Apparel.**

Main Activities: *
**Drive Creative Strategy for the Apparel Category Globally**
- Collaborate with other category Creative leaders to ensure that seasonal creative direction is brand aligned, commercial and appealing.
- Design highly desirable, disruptive, innovative and functional apparel products.
- Manage budgeting and costs for design team in Shanghai and ensure that necessary trend services and memberships and correctly budgeted and accounted for.
- Support and help evolve the current Salomon design language, in alignment to our principles and style.

**Control Design Team Timeline, Stage-gates and Execution**
- Ensure that all key deadlines are met for each season, and that presentations are made to amplify and best represent the work of the Apparel Business unit
- Manage both internal and external resources when required, to ensure that planned bandwidth can be met on time and to sufficient quality.
- Ensure that high-quality design packages are handed over for development and can be uploaded and managed through PLM.
- Understanding of design to cost concepts
- Create, adapt and update documents used to communicate seasonal design solutions, such as design tech-packs, detailed drawings and colourway presentations.

**Ensure Sports and Lifestyle Appropriate Design Execution**
- Partner with SAIL Innovation Director to ensure consistent pipeline of new technical innovative concepts that can be applied into seasons across collections.
- Set direction and ensure alignment into each sports category for appropriate technology and design elements.
- Keep up to date with emerging design and consumer trends as well as general trends relating to soft goods, apparel, materials and technology.
