We aim to produce sustainable, affordable, high-capacity, longer-life batteries as a** cleaner alternative to current energy sources**. We create an R&D center and new state-of-the art facility in France (New Aquitaine), with gigafactories to be built in Hauts de France and Germany.

**Job description**:
Join us to lead development of new cells and modules for the Li-Ion batteries in the frame of our R&D product engineering team on a dedicated innovative project
**Chemistry design**
- Chemical formulation and slurry design activities
- Design and development of trials and prototypes
- Analyze and meet specifications
- Be able to propose innovative solutions
- Write reports, procedures, specifications based on test results
- Draft chemical design rules and standards creation and improvement
- Be up to date to the state of the art on its topic of expertise
- Lead collaborations with suppliers, customers and strategic partners
- Contribution in the company roadmap
- Performs chemical characterizations, measurements and analyses
- Support Intellectual Property monitoring and propose innovative patentable concepts
**Work package leadership**
- Share li-ion cell electrochemistry knowledge
- Share li-ion cell manufacturing at lab, pilot and industrial scale knowledge
- Reporting to team project (window person regarding others department)
- Dashboard regularly updated
- Mastering choice matrix/QCDP synthesis
- Technical convergence meeting attendance
- Work package dedicated technicians and engineer’s workload management.
**Profile**:
**Knowledge / Know how**
- Excellent understanding of the Li-ion and solid-state technology
- Excellent understanding of current technological constraints and limits
- Electrochemistry applied to battery
- Manufacturing processes of Li-ion cell
- Knowledge on various analytical methods commonly used in the field of Li-ion battery
**Expérience (domain, number of years)**
- 5 years’ minimum of EV cells chemical development
**Qualifications (diplomas, languages )**
- PhD in Chemistry/Electrochemistry/Material Science
- Fluent in English

**Some extra skills which make the difference**
- Experienced in design or industrialization for mass production.
- Experienced in energy storage components design.
