Our core Values are : Pioneering Spirit, Fast & Agile, Excellence, Greener & Cleaner **Accelerating sustainable mobility for all.** **Job description**: **Overall job definition**: The focus is on cathode electrodes optimization/development, technical specifications of non-active chemical components with deep knowledge on the cathode electrode design and material characterization. **Cross functional role**: Support in the transition from cathode raw materials to electrode team, failure mode analysis (Process, Cell performance, V&V), Process tolerances and specifications, Materials sourcing (Purchasing team), specifications/IQC (Quality team). **External relations**: Chemical components team, Cell performance team (Product Engineering Chemistry team), Advanced technology team, Process team, V&S team, Purchasing, Quality. **Main missions**: - The electrodes team drives the composition, development, characterization, and testing of cathode electrode formulation according to specified product goals. - The Cathode electrode Engineer is responsible for advising on the choice of non-active materials (PVDF, CB, dispersive, boehmite ) that will improve architecture and design ofcathode electrodes. - In the product development process, the Cathode electrode engineer is responsible for the evaluation and characterization of new cathode electrodes formulation using physical and chemical techniques. - During the Scale-up of Product, the Electrode engineer is in support of Process/Project/Quality teams for the technical topics/issues related to her/his field. - She/He should be responsible of Root cause analysis understanding related to cathode electrodes in the context of Product manufacturing scale-up and on-site support of the pilot plants if required. - As well as technical specifications linked to cathode formulation and ceramic coating. - The main objective is to ensure that the cathode electrodes meet the cell specifications during the various phases of product scaling. For this purpose, planning, and driven cathode electrodes DOE from laboratory to pilot scale its required, in addition to root cause analysis to understand degradation mechanism/issues in electrodes. - The main outputs of this work are product/process specifications, DOE validation reports and risk product assessment. - Close work with Chemical component group (CAM) is required to enable the transition from high performing raw materials to cathode electrodes. **Profile**: **Knowledge**: Battery manufacturing, battery design process, materials chemistry, electrochemistry, chemical laboratory experience and design of experiments. **Experience**: Battery research or battery industry (>5 years).
