**2. Description of the department**
The Leveraged Loans & Private Debt department is a cross-border debt platform (c. €10bn AUM) with an US team based in NYC and an European team based in Paris. Platform strategy is to invest primarily in the Broadly Syndicated Loans market (BSL), meaning rated Corporates issuing Term Loan B in a context of LBO transactions. Main investment vehicles relate to CLOs (Collateralized Loan Obligations), Open-Ended funds and specific mandates.

European strategy also includes private debt capacity to invest into Mid-Market LBO (Unitranches & banks' Term Loans) and Euro-Private-Placement (€-PP) transactions.

The team is organized between (i) Portfolio Managers in charge of funds management and trading & (ii) the Research / Analyst team responsible for the credit analysis and performance monitoring of invested positions.

**3. The main responsibilities of the role (internship starting January 2025)**:
As an intern you will fully contribute to the investment process under the guidance of senior members, including:

- Assisting the team in the screening and selection process of investment opportunities
- Performing industry, business and financial analysis for new transactions
- Building and running cash-flow projection models
- Presenting opportunities during investment committees
- Performing regular monitoring of the performance of existing investments in portfolio

**4. Profile**

**Education/Qualifications**
- Postgraduate studies in Finance, Management or Engineering

**Experience**
- Proven interest in Corporate Finance and familiar with LBO transactions
- Previous experience in either a Private Equity, M&A, Private Debt and/or High-Yield platform, Debt Origination or Syndication team, TS or Audit

**Competencies**
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player, multi-tasking and ability to work under pressure, very thorough mind and capacity for synthesis
- Fluent in English
- Curiosity
