**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Provide mechanical design support for internal R&D projects from concept to test
- Provide expert mechanical design guidance and support to production
- Supervisory responsibility for group of mechanical design individual contributors
- Need to collaborate with cross functional project teams to conceive, design & produce safe, reliable & cost-effective products for the challenging Residential HVAC environment
- Manage functional, project and third-party costs (parts, tooling, certifications) within budget and timeframe, develop Project plan for all cost reduction projects
- Actively participate in design reviews and involve in product development process
- Ensure the integrity of new design regarding product performance, reliability and compliance with appropriate standards, regulations, and procedures
- Lead certification programs (UL, PED, CE ) for the product.
- Conducting Cross Functional meeting for Design approval and participating in cost down meetings for changes approval
- Develop and be accountable for relevant KPI cockpit, cost down targets and individual development objectives to ensure team dynamics as well as a proactive development of skills and capabilities

**Background & Skills**:

- Master’s degree in Engineering Preferably Mechanical
- Highly cross functional and business oriented. Strong technical background in R&D engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanics, thermodynamics, materials)
- Preparing test procedures, conducting, and coordinating the test for the cost down and supplier change projects
- Developing standard documents, procedures for design and manufacturing guidelines
- Strong analytical, logical reasoning skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Expertise in DFMEA, GD&T, tolerance Stack up Analysis and DFX
- Effective leadership with limited direct authority, working in a matrix and multi-cultural organization
- Effective communication from shop floor to management, networking, and presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
- Should be a team player to support decision making since involved in multiple R&D Projects.
- Working with Project teams & Cross functional stake holders to achieve business objectives
- Should be quick in terms of thinking and planning
- Global mindset, flexibility to work remotely and outside of normal office hours, as necessary
- Convincing communicator and open for different views
