ERM is experiencing a rapid uptake in client demand for our advisory services related to climate-related financial risk, climate change & sustainability, and the low carbon energy transition. To support the growth demand, we are looking to further strengthen our team at the senior level with the appointment of a Partner.

ERM’s Climate Change Services team working on Climate Change and the Low Carbon Energy Transition (LCET) is an active thought leader on the financial implications of climate change. Our experience led to us being appointed as authors of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations on scenario analysis. Our work ranges from providing advice to major organisations on their climate-related strategy and policies, to supporting many aspects of their implementation at corporate and asset level. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is highly regarded in the market, supporting leading client organisations across the financial and corporate sectors.

ERM is seeking a motivated market-facing commercial leader to join the ERM Southern Europe’s Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change team as a Partner. The primary focus is to further develop the consulting business by establishing deep relationships with our clients, ensuring the delivery of high quality project work and supporting the expansion and development of the existing first-class team of climate change consultants.

Preference will be given to applicants who have the following key attributes, skills and competencies:

- A minimum of 12 years of prior experience in a senior advisory position on climate change
- Track record in building strong, trusting and commercially successful relationships with clients and partners
- Structured and effective communicator that can shape and deliver complex messages to executive level and facilitate effective client engagements
- Experience of building a team and in line management, mentoring and/or contributing to the professional development of other teammates

Role Responsibilities:
As a Partner, you will be accountable for the commercial growth of the Climate Change service areas, working with existing clients and developing new business. You will lead the opportunity generation, proposal development and technical delivery of projects to ensure service excellence under our Partner in Charge (PiC) model of project management.

Partners in ERM play a pivotal role in achieving current success and shaping our future growth direction. The Partner will provide leadership in communicating and enabling ERM’s health and safety culture and be accountable and responsible for the following (not limited to):

- Develop and implement strategic business plans, provide leadership, and deliver performance results to expand ERM's Climate Change Services team and client base.
- Serve as a key member of the ERM team to drive double-digit profitable growth for the service line
- As a senior ‘seller/doer’, personally win project work annually. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients.
- Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
- Be client facing, with a proven track record of developing Key Client relationships to meet business development needs.
- Design and direct large projects and multi-person project teams. Achieve client’s expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
- Lead, manage performance, hire and retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of practice team
- Develop a working understanding of ERM’s other services and actively support cross-selling these services to existing clients
- Coordinate with ERM offices in the Europe, US, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America regions.
