The Global Logistics Sourcing Leader is responsible for overseeing strategic sourcing activities. This includes managing the entire category spend, developing strategies to reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO), and ensuring vendor management, demand management, and governance are in place for continuous year-over-year improvement.
The role involves partnering with operational teams, the Global Shippers Association (GSA), and other category leaders to define global strategies, coordinate sourcing efforts, and execute initiatives. Collaboration with various business functions such as Sourcing, Operations, and Supply Chain is also key to reducing costs while maintaining excellent service levels.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for specific categories of spend.
- Secure TCO reductions in logistics services, including ocean, air, full truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), parcel, and storage.
- Build and maintain analytics capabilities for tracking transport requirements, lanes, and costs.
- Implement sourcing strategies, including cost analysis and supplier development.
- Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, including strategy development, market analysis, negotiations (RFXs), supplier selection, contract creation, and buying channel management.
- Work with the GSA to secure the best transport rates across various modes (air, TL, LTL, ocean, and parcel).
- Collaborate with the Global Customs and Trade Compliance Strategy leader to support customs clearance processes.
- Lead multi-functional teams in strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Promote best practices and measure performance across spend categories.
- Monitor the implementation of strategies to ensure benefits are realized.
- Drive annual productivity improvements in each category.
- Manage supplier relationships through quarterly reviews, KPIs, and compliance to sourcing commitments.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in strategic sourcing or category management, with a focus on logistics services (air, TL, LTL, ocean, and parcel services).
- Experience leading large-scale logistics service initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills, including spend analysis and cost modeling.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience with RFQ (Request for Quotation) implementation and execution.
- Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or SSS (Strategic Sourcing Systems) software.
