**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead EU active substance approval, renewal and amendment strategies for biocontrol, biopesticide and biorational active substances under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009
- Act as Regulatory Lead for selected active substances, maintaining direct technical oversight of dossiers and strategies
- Define and implement regulatory strategies aligned with business objectives, development timelines and sustainability goals
- Ensure scientific, procedural and regulatory compliance across RMS, co-RMS, EFSA and European Commission processes
- Proactively identify regulatory risks, data gaps and mitigation strategies
- Line-manage and develop a team of three experienced Active Substance Registration Managers
- Provide technical guidance, coaching and mentoring within biological and biorational regulatory frameworks
- Prioritise workloads and ensure timely, high-quality regulatory deliverables
- Act as a key contact with EU regulatory authorities, including leading and supporting regulatory and scientific meetings
- Manage and coordinate external consultants, CROs and data providers where required
- Represent the company in regulatory working groups and industry forums related to biocontrol and biological actives
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental fate, R&D and commercial functions
- Monitor regulatory and scientific developments impacting biological, microbial, botanical and semiochemical active substances
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of regulatory processes, tools and best practices

**Key Requirements**
- Significant experience in EU Active Substance registration under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009
- Proven experience working with biocontrol, biopesticide, microbial, botanical or biorational active substances
- Experience acting as Regulatory Lead on EU active substance dossiers, including authority interactions
- Prior people management or functional leadership experience
- Strong understanding of EU regulatory procedures, timelines and decision-making processes
- Scientific background in a relevant discipline (e.g. biology, agronomy, chemistry, environmental sciences)
- Solid understanding of data requirements across toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental fate and efficacy for biologicals
- Strong regulatory judgement, problem-solving skills and strategic mindset
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with regulators and senior stakeholders
- Fluent English; additional European languages are advantageous
- Willingness to travel approximately once per month to Lyon
