Head of Production

**Job Description ‍**:
Join our innovative team as the Head of Production, where you will lead and oversee the production operations that contribute to our mission of reshaping space technology. This pivotal role will involve managing the full production lifecycle, driving efficiency, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Production Oversight**:

- Oversee the entire production lifecycle: sourcing, assembly, testing, and final assembly.
- Ensure production milestones meet timelines and technical specifications.
- Optimize production logistics for smooth flow of materials and products.

**Supply Chain Management**:

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.
- Oversee sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, inventory management, and quality control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and mitigate risks.

**Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)**
- Work with sales, marketing, and production teams to align goals and objectives.
- Ensure smooth procurement and sourcing of materials and services.
- Analyze demand forecasts to adjust inventory and prevent overstock or stockouts.

**Planning & Scheduling**:

- Develop production plans that align with company objectives and deliverables.
- Schedule production to optimize labor, materials, and machinery usage.
- Proactively address potential disruptions in production schedules.

**Quality Assurance & Compliance**:

- Establish quality control standards to meet product specifications.
- Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure defect-free, compliant products.

**Process Improvement**:

- Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions for efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and enhance output.

**Team Leadership & Development**:

- Build and lead a high-performing production team.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans.

**Safety & Environmental Management**:

- Enforce safety protocols to prevent workplace injuries.
- Implement sustainable manufacturing practices to minimize environmental impact.

**Cross-Functional Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with product development, supply chain, and procurement teams to integrate new design changes and ensure timely component availability.
- Liaise with sales and customer support to forecast demand and adjust production accordingly.

**Financial Management & Reporting**:

- Manage production unit budget and control spending.
- Use data insights for cost analysis, forecasting, and decision-making.

**Preferred Experience ‍️**:

- Proven experience in leading production operations in high-tech or aerospace industries.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and S&OP.
- Expertise in production planning, scheduling, and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.
- Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and cost optimization in a production environment.
- Ability to implement safety protocols and sustainability practices in manufacturing.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Fluency in French & English is mandatory for this role.
