Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

How you'll make an impact:
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in the Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) team at Dataiku, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. Leveraging your advanced analytical skills and expertise in business intelligence tools and techniques, you will collaborate with the EDA team, cross-functional analytics teams, and executives to extract, analyze, and present valuable insights on company performance and opportunities. The role of Business Intelligence Engineer at Dataiku is also quite unique as, in addition to the above, you will be acting as a Center of Excellence BI Leader for our community of analysts and work directly with the Product team to enhance the data visualisation features of Dataiku and Dataiku Stories. Your responsibilities within the team and with the community of analysts include but are not limited to:
**Data Analysis, Visualization and Strategic Insight Generation**:

- Design, develop and maintain reference reports or dashboards supporting the company’s most important metrics (ARR, NDR, ARPU, Product Adoption etc ) leveraging BI tools such as Tableau and Dataiku's own platform.
- Participate in the end of month / end of quarter closing and creation of content for cross-functional senior executives as well as board and investors to summarize results with a high standard of visual presentation, demonstrating a coherent and defensible story through the use of data
- Collaborate transversally with business leaders or operations to conduct gap analysis, understand business needs and build out advanced analytical and operationalised solutions to answer those needs.
- Respond to the most urgent or most complex ad-hoc data related inquiries to support the highest executives of the company (C-Levels, VPs...). Transform structured, and occasionally raw, data into usable formats for those ad hoc analysis and answer clearly defined questions, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
- Work with the Analytics Engineering team to operationalize new data sources, making them available to analysts across the business in our cloud data platform. Collaborate to continuously improve the quality and utility of those data sources that the team builds and maintains.

**BI Tools Administration, Governance and Strategy**:

- Configure and maintain our Tableau instance, troubleshoot errors or slow dashboards in order to ensure optimal performance and scalability of our BI Stack
- Oversee Tableau licenses, manage user access and collaborate with our Data Platform team to enforce the right set of governance policies and control access permissions to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic audits of Tableau usage, data access, and adherence to governance frameworks.
- Implement and maintain and organized folder, workspace, dashboard and collections structure as well as a centralized catalog of reference data sources within Tableau and Dataiku DSS to enhance usability, efficiency and alignment towards source of truth datapoints
- Track BI adoption and effectiveness of BI strategy through KPIs.

**Community, Center of Excellence and collaboration with Product**:

- Build and maintain an active community of BI analysts, power users, and stakeholders to drive collaboration and knowledge sharing. Act as the go-to expert for Business Intelligence for this community, supporting users through office hours, forums, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Define and enforce best practices for dashboard development, data visualization, report structuring, and data security. Develop and deliver occasional training, workshops, or create enablement materials around those best practices to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the EDA team and wider community of analysts at Dataiku.
- Collaborate closely with Dataiku’s Product team to improve the Data Visualization features of our software (Charts, Dashboards, Dataiku Stories). Stay ahead of BI industry trends, recommending innovative solutions or features to enhance Dataiku capabilities.

What you'll need to be successful:

- 5+ years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering or Data Science.
- Advanced ability to build reports and dashboards with BI tools (such as Tableau, Looker or PowerBi)
- Literacy in SQL and Python. Experience in Dataiku is a big plus.
