Service Technician Offshore

We are looking for an Offshore Service Technician to work in Port la Nouvelle (south of France). At Vestas you will have the opportunity to develop your skills together with the global presence within wind energy and contribute to a greener world.** This position is located in Port La Nouvelle (Aude - France) and will require travels France/international **Region MED > SBU MED Service > Area Site Management East** The Vestas Offshore Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind turbines in these windfarms in the Mediterranean Sea. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees. **Responsibilities** - Compliance to Vestas’ Health & safety, Quality, Operational procedures - Engage with and live by Vestas values - Application of the Vestas safe system of work, supervising safety - Authorized Technician who maintains general safety of the work party - Maintenance & service of electrical and mechanical systems offshore - Trouble shooting & fault diagnosis of electrical and mechanical systems - Inspection & upgrading activities - Daily monitoring of operations, and remote fault finding via online systems - Raising work orders, NCRs, quality cases and learning opportunities - Registration of time, materials, consumables, and quality findings - Working closely with customers in support of site activity - Collaborate with support functions and colleagues - Review and improvement of operational documentation - Support to France onshore windfarms under Vestas contract **Qualifications** - Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university - Technician level expert or senior with Ideally 3 years of experience in VESTAS turbines (Onshore or Offshore) - Fluent in English and in French - Grid streamer trainings (level C&B) would be a real advantage - Good knowledge of MS Office - Driving license category B - Great problem-solving skills, Team-oriented person, High involvement, Flexible and committed - Comfortable working offshore and at heights, coping with the respective issues that this brings - You recognize your own limitations and willing to seek help when needed - Mobile France and International **Competencies** - Professional experience with electrical or mechanical systems, for example having worked in the offshore industry. - A willingness to travel to other sites abroad France (i.e., UK, Belgium, Portugal) for technical training in existing offshore windfarms and in support of local workers if needed once training is finished. - Equally important is to be proficient, enthusiastic, and hardworking, with an ability to adapt to ever changing situations.
