**Job Description**:
- Define and deliver a high impact strategic communications programme, leveraging the full suite of channels (earned/ owned) to drive employee pride and advance and protect Visa’s reputation in the cluster.
- Develop strong relationships with senior leaders in the France, Belgium & Luxembourg (FBL) sub-regional “cluster” (headquartered in Paris, second office in Brussels) playing an active role in the FBL leadership team and offering strategic counsel on key matters.
- Lead the planning and activation of key communications programmes in FBL in partnership with retained PR agencies including announcements, events key notes, campaigns, messaging and content development & delivery across multiple channels & audiences.
- Bring to life Visa’s role and legacy as a sponsor of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, developing and delivering a high impact strategic communications programme for Paris 24.
- nfluence colleagues across the business to help drive understanding of the value and impact of Corporate Communications, offering relevant strategic counsel.
- Lead a small but impactful team to drive positive results, ensuring they have relevant goals and development plans in place to further their careers.
- Build a network of media contacts on behalf of the company, managing a media engagement programme with key local spokespeople.
- Create engaging written and visual content including press releases, statements, blogs, briefing documents, video, infographic, social media content.
- Drive an inclusive and learning culture amongst communication colleagues in the European region, sharing best practice and learnings.
- Partner with colleagues in the London-based hub Europe Corporate Communications team, and US-based global team, to feed into campaign development, influence global & European plans and tailor activity for FBL
- Respond to incoming media enquiries, working with colleagues in the region to respond as needed.
- As a member of the European Corporate Communications team, help Visa respond to a major crisis by undertaking assigned actions and responsibilities, ensuring ability to respond out of hours in event of a crisis scenarios.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with procurement and finance processes.
- Track and measure communications activity using available tools and delivering against agreed goals and KPI’s.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
**Qualifications**:
- Passion for creating engaging corporate communications campaigns that meet business objectives
- Proven experience of developing and implementing communications programmes, reputation management and interacting with media
- Experience of working in a matrixed, multi-national corporate environment
- Strong written and verbal communications skills in French and English, with other European languages an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to advise and influence senior internal stakeholders in a leadership role
- Ability and flexibility to manage multiple projects under pressure
- Experience of managing performance and development of team members, inspiring success and creating an inclusive environment
- Effective management of agencies
- Experience of media evaluation and analysis
- Experience of using digital channels and social media strategies for PR purposes
- Strong planning and project management skills
- Budget management
- Experience of managing crises & issues
- Educated to degree level or equivalent PR qualification
