**Position Snapshot**
- Fixed term contract - 6 months
- Nestle Purina Petcare - Issy Les Moulineaux (92)
- Master’s degree in food science and/or related discipline
- You understand the business environment and you demonstrated product/process expertise to support projects and operations
- At least 6 to 18 months of experience in operations / product research and development / product technology

As a Product Development Specialist, you will have to support the cross functional technical team leading on product development for Innovation & Renovation to deliver on time, at optimized cost and right quality products to the business. You will be coached by a Senior or Manager in the platform.

You will support the Product Maintenance, sustainability, and operational support for assigned Portfolio.

**A day in the life of a Product Development Specialist role**:
**Support and develop the Technical Leadership**:

- Demonstrate and acquire expertise in process and products for your specific platform
- Support process and product validation during new line commissioning, new I&R project implementation and operational issues
- Demonstrate leadership in project management and coordinate with all technical teams to deliver a project on time and in full
- Master project management tool to assess risk and define reliable timeline and forecast with cross functional teams
- Support / Provide recommendation to align all factories way of working

**Support the Implementation of I&R strategy**:

- Support the lead of I&R projects with cross functional teams
- Define and validate with all stakeholders’ products and process specifications
- Ensure alignment and compliance between products and declarations (LSS, packs, advertising)
- Perform all industrial tests required (Factory trials, Palatability, digestibility,...)
- Enable the delivery of all required indicators, deliverables and documentations related to a project
- Ensure alignment between new products development and existing technology platforms

**Master product superiority**:

- Ensure maintenance and reliability of product/recipe compliance and Quality
- Deliver and perform product assessment with appropriate action plan execution ( panel, tests, consumer complaint review, )
- Perform regular competitor products review and assessment
- Support other teams with technical data and recommendations (consumer service, external communication,)

**What will make you successful**:

- You know how to ensure the maintenance of consistent product quality, managing product evaluations and calibration
- You are a technical leader and you can handle management tool to deliver project on time and flag blocking points and associated resources issues
- You know how to lead meeting and push to decision
- Ability to work in cross functional teams as well as work alone
- Good networking abilities
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
