**Job Summary**:
As a Project Engineer you will be part of the field Pre-Sales and Customer Success organization. In your role you will be helping companies to accelerate their product design and increase time to market by serving as the primary technical consultant responsible for actively executing simulation projects driving and managing product design challenges for various Altair’s Customer. You will be responsible for developing a trusted relationship with our customers and help them to solve and leverage complex issues in order to demonstrate Altair’s value.

**What You Will Do**:

- Understand customer-specific challenges and a nalyze technical needs, requirements, and current engineering workflows of customers.
- Develop efficient solutions s olving current technical problems with state-of-the-art simulation and optimization methods.
- Adapt our technical / expertise offering s well as software solutions to company-specific processes.
- Ensure close customer support being the interface between our customers and the software development department.
- Work closely with customers to qualify opportunities and propose the best solution meeting the customer’s requirements.
- Perform pre
- and post-sales support for EM products, including evaluations, software benchmarking and proof of concepts.
- Collect feedback for development staff to guarantee our customer’s requirements are met in developing new and/or upgraded products.
- Collaboration in an international team.

**What You Will Need**:

- Completed engineering studies in the field of electrical engineering, preferably in the area of high-frequency engineering or EMC.
- A thorough understanding of electromagnetic concepts is required.
- Prior experience using EM simulation tools like Feko, HFSS, CST, XFDTD, etc.
- Understanding of computational electromagnetic methods is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of technical users and management.
- Excellent presentation skills. Very good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
- Aptitude for solving engineering problems understanding business value.
- Willingness to travel and spend time onsite at customers.
