**About the job**

Based at Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris the Director of Finance reports directly to the General Manager.

**As Director of Finance you will be responsible for the following duties**:

- Support department heads in managing their expenses by analyzing departmental activities and results to help identify and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly P&L statements and end-of-month reports within set deadlines.
- Continuously improve risk management procedures to monitor and minimize business risks.
- Oversee all administrative and financial department functions, including accounting, tax, and administrative management.
- Ensure accurate accounting (general and analytical), cost control, cash flow performance optimization, treasury monitoring, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Validate tax decisions in coordination with company representatives, auditors, and statutory auditors.
- Lead and manage the Finance Department, including accounting, cost control, purchasing, stores, and payroll.
- Foster a culture of trust, cooperation, and pursuit of excellence within the organization.

**As Director of Finance we expect from you**:

- Higher education in Business or Finance from a top-tier business school.
- Proven experience as a CFO or Finance Director in the luxury services sector (Hospitality, Fine Dining, Luxury Retail).
- Strong leadership skills with experience in both direct team management and cross-functional coordination; able to rally teams around goals and initiatives.
- Strategic mindset with a solid understanding of business operations and corporate objectives.
- Skilled in budgeting, project management, and leading organizational change.
- Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experienced with financial management software (ideally Sun Systems).
