The Role

Fresh off our Series B, we're entering an exciting new phase of scale: multi-product expansion, international growth, and a rapidly evolving regulatory perimeter with recently obtained and upcoming licences.

As Director of Finance, you will architect and lead Finary's entire financial organisation. You will own financial strategy, governance, and performance - ensuring long-term sustainability, regulatory excellence, and capital efficiency as we scale into a multi-licence, multi-country financial institution.

Your mission: support our ambitious AuM and ARR goals, while maintaining best-in-class financial controls, regulatory compliance, and investor-grade reporting. You will partner directly with the CEO, VP Operations and executive team, shaping the company's strategic direction and building a world-class finance function from the ground up.

What You'll Do
1. Own the company's financial truth

• Maintain accurate, timely reporting (P&L, cash flow, BS) every month.

• Build reliable forecasting (revenues, cash, headcount, licensed activities).

• Ensure leadership always has a clear understanding of runway and cost structure.

Output: numbers we trust, every time.

2. Enable good decisions and capital allocation

• Provide simple, actionable insights: unit economics, ROI of initiatives, hiring plans, product margins.

• Challenge and support teams with clear financial visibility.

• Help the CEO/Exec team choose where to invest, slow down, or stop.

• Build and maintain robust risk management frameworks.

Output: leadership makes fewer blind bets and fewer surprises happen.

3. Make us audit - and regulator -proof

• Ensure we meet all regulatory financial obligations (MiCA, PSI, capital, liquidity).

• Build and maintain the controls, reconciliations, and financial processes that stand up to audits.

• Manage auditors, regulators, and advisors with confidence.

Output: zero material findings, no avoidable regulatory pain.

4. Scale the finance engine

• Build and lead the finance team (accounting, FP&A, regulatory finance, treasury).

• Implement systems that eliminate manual work and reduce errors (ERP, FP&A tooling, automated reconciliations).

• Put in place processes that scale with more products, more countries, and higher transaction volumes.

Output: finance doesn't become the bottleneck to growth.

5. Support fundraising & investor reporting

• Keep a forward-looking model that investors trust.

• Produce clean board packs and fundraise materials.

• Partner closely with CEO on valuation, capital strategy, and investor conversations.

Output: we always look prepared - never scrambling.

You'd Be a Great Fit If You…

• Have CFO / VP Finance / Director of Finance experience in a regulated fintech or high-growth SaaS scale-up.

• Have a strong track record of scaling Revenues or Assets under Management in fast-growing environments.

• Understand multi-product revenue models.

• Are both strategic and hands-on - comfortable designing frameworks while diving deep into reconciliations or models.

• Communicate exceptionally well with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

• Thrive in environments with evolving regulations, shifting priorities, and rapid scale.

• Are energised by the opportunity to build a finance function from scratch and operate as a core executive leader during hypergrowth.
