**Job Summary**:

- Manages software deliveries for MCU/MPU devices
- Builds and leads a core / cross functional team to achieve the full scope of the software program (e.g. marketing, architecture, design, development, test)
- Manages 3rd party software providers. Defines priorities, scope and SoW as required. Drives 3rd party program execution.
- Drives status and sync meetings with key customers.
- Responsible for overall planning, development targets, resources and budget
- Manages and tracks program execution across the organization
- Owns program execution: budget, schedule and scope, as well as quality, specification conformance and customer experience with the product.
- Develops and maintains appropriate software roadmaps.
- Responsible for the program success.

**Cross functional aspects**:

- This role will require frequent interaction with many functions including product management, product development, marketing, systems engineering, and all SW R&D functions such as development, test, architecture, SQA, etc. This interaction will span all levels of the organization.

**Job Qualifications**:

- A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required. BSCS is preferred.
- Technical Credibility: We seek a technically-astute individual who can communicate effectively to engineers or customers. We are looking for someone who cannot only become a peer in discussions about new product and road map definition, but who can dramatically extend the reach of NXP’s products and technologies to customers around the world.
- Effective Leadership: The right person knows how to effectively manage technical software teams in order to deliver a quality product. Additionally, this person can collaborate with other groups in the company to leverage NXP’s status as a leader in software development.
- Development or managerial experience with enablement software for MCU or MPU devices.
- Familiarity with SoC ROM development.
