Your role will be crucial in driving innovation and influencing both the aesthetics and functionality of our mobile and Mac products. **What you'll do**
- ** Drive User-Centered Design**: Lead research initiatives and workshops to deeply understand our **Gems **. Leverage insights to proactively recommend improvements to our interfaces and overall experience.
- ** Shape Product Design Roadmap**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Support) to develop long-term design strategies that resonate with Opal’s vision and business objectives, enhancing **Gem** engagement and retention.
- ** Deliver High-Quality Designs**: Create visually compelling and intuitive designs that reflect a strong understanding of UX principles, including wireframes, user journeys, interactive prototypes, and a focus on seamless experiences.
- ** Collaborate and Guide Development**: Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure design fidelity from concept to execution, providing guidance during the implementation phase to maintain quality and consistency.
- ** Contribute to Continuous Improvement**: Collaborate on building and refining Opal’s design system to ensure scalability as the product evolves. Stay current with the latest design trends and UX best practices, sharing insights to drive innovation within the team.

**Qualifications**
- ** 5+ years of experience** in product design, with a focus on consumer apps.
- ** Tool Proficiency**: Expert in **Figma** and **Webflow**; experience using **Amplitude** for data-driven design. Animation/motion skills are a bonus.
- ** Monetization Knowledge**: Familiar with designing for app monetization on mobile and Mac platforms.
- ** Entrepreneurial**: Self-starter with a proactive, independent approach to improving product experiences.
- ** Design Education**: Strong visual design background with solid UX fundamentals.
- ** Fluent in English**, both spoken and written.
