**Your mission**

You will join the Installation Analyses team of the Pipeline Group department. Pipeline Group is a service provider for the installation engineering of pipelines and associated structures, whether on projects or on tenders, to support the offshore operations but also the field development at early engineering phase.

In the Installation Analyses team, installation of subsea pipeline is simulated with a finite element software in order to define the main laying parameters (vessel and equipment configuration, allowable seas-states) as well as engineer the step-by-step installation sequence. This engineering is then applied to offshore installation operations under supervision of the engineer.

You will support the development and update of the various tools (Excel spreadsheets, Python scripts, Orcaflex or ABAQUS models) that are used to support all the various aspects of installation engineering and offshore operations. Those tools require regular updates to account for evolution of the needs and of technology, but also to account from the feedbacks from ongoing projects and tenders.

The internship will be articulated as follow:

- Training to pipelay and structure installation to understand the installation analysis engineer position and the needs from the engineers,
- Identification/selection of the tool to develop,
- Creation/Update of the identified and selected tool(s)
- Writing/update of the User Manual and of the validation report.

You will mainly interface with team members from the different offices to ensure the needs from locations are properly captured. In addition, you will strongly interface with Installation Method team from Pipeline Group, but also with other departments, such as Structural Design engineering department.

**Your profile**

You shall demonstrate:

- Skills or interest in industrial process engineering,
- Skills and interest in FEA and beam theory,
- Advanced knowledge in MS Excel, VBA and/or Python,
- Flexibility,
- Initiative and personal responsibility,
- Good written English level expected to write clear and concise deliverables,
- Motivation to interface with other concerned departments and engineers,
- Real interest and motivation for a team work.

**Vos missions**

Vous rejoindrez le département Pipeline Group dans le service Analyses d’Installation. Pipeline Group est un service d’ingénierie dédié à l’installation de conduites sous-marines rigides et de leurs structures associées, que ce soit sur projet ou appel d’offre, pour supporter les opérations en mer ou pour aider à la conception globale du champ dès le début de la phase d’ingénierie.

Au service Analyses d’Installation, l’installation des conduites est simulée sur ordinateur via un logiciel d’éléments finis afin de définir les principaux paramètres des opérations (configuration du bateau, états de mer) ainsi que le déroulement étape par étape des opérations à effectuer.
