Product Development Technician

As a Product Development Technician, you will work on technical part for product developments, to answer to customers needs for Lab and Life Sciences unit. You will also assist R&D engineer on technical part of R&D projects, technical customer studies and development of specific methods in biotechnologies.

Main responsabilities:
**Including technical tasks**
- Organization, planning and realization of the technical studies of the laboratory defined with the person in charge.
- Drafting of short technical reports, assurance of reliability and traceability of results.
- Establish and organize the technical program according to the guidelines defined with the technical manager of the project
- Masters laboratory techniques
- Execute the technical program with rigor
- Respect, and implement where appropriate, procedures and operating methods
- Interpret and communicate on the technical progress of the project
- Acquire and study information and procedures necessary to carry out experiments
- When needed develop and set up new test methods
- Verify the relevance and pertinence of the results
- Analyses the data and results
- Guarantee the reliability of the conclusions of the analyzes in relation to the objectives of the project
- Collaboration and support to production team

**Reporting**
- Keep rigorous written notes on the experimental work
- Present the result with data supported conclusions to the technical manager
- Draft detailed and illustrated written reports (with tables and graphs)

**Organizational tasks and safety**
- Respect planning and deadlines of experimental work and other project missions
- Manage raw material storage and destruction according to the relevant procedures
- Report working hours/participation in projects and other missions in the time/project management tools
- Respect working hours, internal procedures and best practice of internal organization and safety
- Participate and contribute to various safety actions of the site

**To be successfull in this role you should have**:

- Preferred Bachelor of biotechnology or corresponding experience
- Good knowledge of analytical methods in chemistry and molecular biology
- Prior work experience (at least 2 years) in working in Life Sciences or diagnostics is appreciated
- Ability to search for information (colleagues, literature, standards, etc.)
- Curiosity and proactivity
- Rigor, autonomy, versatility, organization skills
- Good ability to analyze and interpret results, Critical spirit on the results
- Working in research laboratory environment and working in teams
- Fluent in English
