**What You'll Do** You will be Cisco’s government affairs and public policy leader in France. You will build excellent relationships both within the company and with a wide range of policy makers in France. You will advance policy interests consistent with Cisco’s mission to power an inclusive future for all by being a collaborative partner, thought leader and influencer. - Key Responsibilities:_ - You will lead and support Cisco’s engagements with key government leaders and policy-makers in France; further, develop key relationships between officials and policy-makers and Cisco executives. - You will be responsible for developing and delivering advocacy strategies to help advance Cisco’s core public policy initiatives in France. - You will identify, analyze and prioritize emerging policy issues and ensure Cisco is proactively engaging with the policy making process, for example through preparing position papers, presentations, publication pieces, and briefings. - You will represent Cisco in industry groups, relevant hearings, meetings, conferences, and seminars. - You will work collaboratively with the Director General of Cisco France and their leadership team and other senior Cisco executives. You will advise on current political and policy trends in France and potential implications for the business. **Who You'll Work With** Government Affairs (GA) is a global corporate function reporting directly to Cisco’s Executive Vice President and Chief People, Policy and Purpose Officer, Fran Katsoudas. The team represents Cisco to governments and policy-makers worldwide. GA works to build strategic relationships with governments, to educate governments and regulators about Cisco and the technology industry, and to advocate public policy positions consistent with Cisco’s vision. You will be based in France and will report to Matthew Houlihan, Senior Director Government Affairs and will be part of the team led by Cisco’s Senior Vice President for International Government Affairs, Pastora Valero. You will work very closely with the wider Cisco team in France and with colleagues around the world. **Who You Are** - You have 10 + years experience in government affairs & public policy environments and a comprehensive understanding of the operation of government and regulatory agencies involved in tech policy issues. - You have public policy or government affairs experience in the public and/or private sector: e.g. having worked in an agency or government bodies; or having worked as a government professional in an international corporation, trade association, law firm or consulting firm. - You are familiar with current policy priorities and challenges in the ICT sector both in France and at the European level. - You have an executive presence; and strong advocacy, communication, and collaboration skills. - You are an innovative thinker who can formulate and implement policy solutions that benefit Cisco’s business interests and purpose. - You would be comfortable presenting Cisco priorities to government officials, as well as explaining complex regulatory and policy matters to senior executives across business units. - You are a self-starter, you love to learn and are resilient. You can handle multiple challenges simultaneously. - You are a results-oriented team player with a strong focus on getting the job done well. - Degree in political science, business, law, economics or similar.
