Junior Data Scientist Intern

**Project: Developing Predictive Models of Clinical Outcomes in Patients with Genitourinary Cancer**

Complete an internship project at SOPHiA GENETICS whose mission is to build the future of AI-assisted medicine. Joining the R&D Multimodal Biostatistics team as a Data Scientist Intern.

**Your mission**:
Reporting to the Multimodal Biostatistics Manager, you will contribute to the ongoing development, validation and deployment of machine learning models designed to predict clinical outcomes using routinely collected multimodal data in patients with genitourinary cancer. This work will help predict patient clinical outcomes for various cancers, directly impacting clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.

**You will be involved in**:

- Preparing and cleaning multimodal data sets, including clinical and genomic data.
- Training and validating machine learning models for predictive modelling in various cancers.
- Post-processing and interpreting results to generate actionable clinical insights.
- Integrating selected models into SOPHiA DDMTM Digital Twins.
- Presenting your findings and results to the team.

**Requirements**:
**The experience you bring**:

- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Applied Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Biostatistics, machine learning, and Python.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A team player who collaborates well with others but can also work autonomously.
