The company has now embarked on the "Winds of Change" chapter, which focuses on accelerating growth in the Electrification value chain. This involves divesting non-core activities and concentrating on energy generation, transmission, distribution, and usage. To achieve this, the Finance organization is seeking a skilled individual to monitor the company's financial performance through activities such as financial modelling (including the Financial Corporate Model) and provide support to the M&A team in executing acquisitions. The position will be located in Courbevoie and report to the VP of Financial Modelling and M&A.**The role encompasses two main areas of responsibility**: **Leading Corporate Financial Modelling Activities**: - Maintain, develop, and expand the Group's Financial Corporate Model, which is a crucial decision-making tool for top executives. Ensure the model is kept up-to-date and accurately reflects the financial performance of the company. Continuously improving the model's capabilities to provide more detailed and accurate insights into the company's financial performance. - Regularly update the Financial Corporate Model, review financial forecasts prepared by operations with a focus on funds from operations drivers, and compare Nexans' model to research analysts' papers. Prepare supporting materials for management in advance of investor conferences and financial results releases, based on the Group's Financial Corporate Model. - Stay up-to-date with financial and industry trends and incorporating them into the Financial Corporate Model. Reviewing financial forecasts prepared by operations and ensuring that they align with the overall financial strategy of the company. - Work closely with controlling teams to value assets, including impairment testing and deferred tax analysis. Perform impairment testing and deferred tax analysis to assess the value of the company's assets. - Create financial models to engage with both internal and external stakeholders on various topics, such as FP&A, investor presentations, and refinancing activities. **Supporting Business Development Activities**: - Assist the VP of M&A in strategic acquisition projects, identify potential acquisition targets and perform detailed valuation analyses. - Monitor and report on M&A activities in the wire and cable industry, analysing industry trends and competitive dynamics. - Prepare valuation analyses of potential acquisition targets. - Collaborate with advisors during due diligence processes, consolidating and challenging key findings. - Participate in drafting investment memorandums and SPA documentation. - This role involves assisting senior leadership in several key strategic areas such as monitoring the company's financial trajectory, assessing financial targets, and preparing materials ahead of executive committee and board meetings. The role also includes cross-functional responsibilities that require collaboration with employees at all levels of the organization, including senior operations and finance executives.**Required skills and qualifications**: - A Master's degree or equivalent in Economics or Finance from a top-tier university. - A minimum of 6 years of successful experience in transaction services/valuation and business modeling, with investment banking experience (experience in corporate finance is an asset). - Strong quantitative skills, including extensive experience with financial models and valuation techniques. - Experience in M&A project management, including coordination with advisors and other stakeholders. - Ability to read and understand financial statements. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office
