**Summary**

Reporting to the SVP Operations EMEA, the Senior Director serves as the primary integration point for Global Data Center Operations (GDCO) representing the division’s worldwide strategic vision and mission across the company and fronting GDCO’s operations sustainability initiatives to other cross-functional units to drive strategic execution. GDCO’s ESG initiatives span Operational Performance (Power/Water Usage Efficiency), Renewable Energy, Data Center Design and Construction and Scope 3 emissions work within our supply chain.

The Senior Director will develop and enable the global operations interlock amongst sustainability stakeholders across all three regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC) ensuring seamless interactions internally to operations and ensuring accurate and aligned information is outgoing from operations to meet Equinix’s overarching ESG objectives.

**Sustainability Execution, Reporting and Alignment**

**Support Leaders with strategy and implementation**
- Develop and enable the global operations interlock amongst sustainability stakeholders ensuring seamless interactions internally to operations and ensuring accurate and aligned information outgoing from operations
- Create strong interlocks with critical internal cross functional teams to enable execution and delivery of roadmap across cross functional teams
- Represent operations-related sustainability efforts to other partners both within to operations and externally with other functions
- Develop analysis, reporting & dashboards to summarize progress and provide clarity
- Overall responsibility for integration and alignment of sustainability efforts within operations across the vectors of Operational Performance, Renewable Energy, Design, and the Scope 3 emissions work within Procurement/Supply Chain

**Set, Manage, Monitor expected outcomes**
- Define the expected operational interlocks, reporting mechanisms, inbound and outbound data and information flow required to execute upon set OKR’s and related performace indicators to monitor.

**Stakeholder Engagement and Alignment**
- Build external community networks and communicate sustainability program in broader industry forums and engagements
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with leaders and teams responsible for the other parts of Social and the Governance components of the company’s ESG work
- Build relationships and partner with key internal business partners to ensure cross-functional ownership of environmental initiatives that deliver against the sustainability strategy
- Build strong interlocks with critical internal cross-functional teams to develop a holistic sustainability roadmap and enable execution and delivery of roadmap across cross functional teams
- Work with the enabling team to define and productize customer and partner facing reporting
- Work with Product Marketing to create and align on go-to-market strategies including identified personas, use cases and addressable market.
- Partner with Product Marketing to evangelize Products and Platform internally and externally
- Structure, set and communicate product pricing, policies and contracting guidelines
- Ensure Product Marketing has the knowledge and training to act as primary point of escalation for commercial and technical questions from sales and customers

**Knowledge, skills and experience sought**:

- Extensive experience in sustainability, knowledge of environmental and climate related issues with a clear track record of successfully executing sustainability strategies across large businesses
- Strong program and portfolio management experience
- Knowledge of power/energy usage, water usage, renewable energy and/or construction related sustainability challenges ideally in a data center context
