**Purpose**:

- Define the optimal selection of bearings to offer the customer and convince customers to use our solutions. Support sales for new opportunities and existing markets.**External / Internal relations**:

- Reporting to the Application Engineering Manager corresponding to his segment.
- Internal relationship with all employees of the company.
- External relations with clients and universities.

**Main activities**:

- 1. Select existing bearings for supported markets.
- 3. Know the adjustment methods and corresponding range recommendations for their market segment.
- 5. Initiate and coordinate routine thermal analyses.
- 6. Initiate and coordinate routine dynamic analyses.
- 7. Know the most common assembly principles and their pros and cons.
- 8. Initiate and coordinate routine finite element analyses.
- 10. Define new performance codes or profiles for existing bearings with the help of design.
- 11. Write routine reports.
- 12. Present technical analysis results to clients.
- 13. Conduct internal success story presentations.
- 14. Attend training workshops at universities or clients.
- 15. Work with service engineers to enable them to document their inspection reports.
- 16. Be involved in customer complaint studies, communicate with appropriate resources within the company and participate in customer communication.
- 17. Participate in Engineering Statement of Work (ESOW).
- 18. Participate in routine FMEA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis).
- 19. Participate in the development of product validation plans. Be responsible for monitoring.- 20. Submit ideas to improve existing or new products. Share observations with New Business Development to guide future developments.
- 21. Use the support service for routine analysis.
- 22. Handle multiple customer or internal requests at the same time with priority validation with manager.
- 23. Track customer requests by coordinating with sales engineers from first consultation to first mass delivery. Be able to identify when a FMEA or the definition of a validation plan is necessary.
- 24. Train new engineers using available presentations.
- 25. Participate in customer training.
- 26. Participate in field training of engineer trainees.**Kills & Competencies**:

- Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge in the field of mechanical design, static, dynamic and finite element computing, tribology, and metallurgy.
- Knowledge of office and collaborative tools (Microsoft 365 suite).
- Knowledge of basic engineering processes (ESR: Engineering Service Request - NPR: New Product Request - NPM: New Product Manufacture).
- Professional English (B2).
