We are looking for a

**Field Technical Service Engineer (France and Spain)**

to support our team from Home Office based

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide technical service for Engineered Materials products: design and prototyping as per customer request, trouble shooting, and complaint handling on customers' site (Southern France and Spain)
- Provide emergency service when customer has a technical issue involving Celanese material
- Work with customers to resolve quality issues pertaining to customer process and tooling
- Identify and pursue opportunities for efficiency increase, cost reduction and customer satisfaction
- Conduct technical seminars on Celanese portfolio including properties, tooling, processing and Secondary operations
- Discuss technical issues and present recommended solutions, and demonstrate the performance of Celanese's engineered materials products and services to customers
- Work with Technology & Innovation (T&I) to develop a processing window for new products
- Travels to customer sites to resolve issues

Qualifications:

- Engineering degree in Polymer Science, Plastics Technology or other relevant field of study
- 3-5 years of background in technical polymers, preferably with emphasis on POM, PA and thermoplastic elastomers
- Expert knowledge designing in plastics, injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, and other relevant technologies i.e. hot runner systems etc.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English plus French plus Spanish
- Ability to explain technical terms to others
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Self-motivation and strong customer focus
- Willingness to travel across Europe
