Area Benelux & France is part of the Maritime Region West Europe consisting of a team of approximately 100 enthusiastic and committed employees taking care of a variety of Maritime technical services, that are delivered to our customers from five office locations (Rotterdam, Antwerp, Le Havre, Saint-Nazaire and Marseille).

**Position Description**:
Are you having a passion for the maritime industry, then we are looking for you as a Ship Surveyor based in Marseille. You will become a member of a highly qualified and enthusiastic team serving the maritime industry and various ship types, among others Container, Cruise, Tanker and ROPAX ships calling at ports in the south and west of France.

**Main job responsibilities are**:

- Inspection and classification onboard ocean-going ships for compliance with DNV Rules for Classification, statutory requirements and international standards;
- Maintain the confidentiality of customers’ business, processes, designs, developments and documentation at all times.
- Takes responsibility for own competence and career development and ensure that the appropriate authorisations are gained and are kept up to date.
- Assist in service delivery improvement by communicating internal / external feedback as appropriate;

Position Qualifications:

- Relevant Master/Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline;
- Minimum 2 years of experience as member of the Ship Management Team, or other relevant technical background;
- Good communication skills in the French and English language, both verbal and in writing;
- An independent, self-organized team player with a positive customer-oriented mindset;
- Asks for and acts on feedback to learn and improve;
- Willingness to frequently travel within the country is crucial;
- In the possession of a valid driver’s license;
- Physical abilities necessary to perform regular functions of the job, such as climbing pilot ladders, tank inspections, crew boat launches, voyage surveys and flying;
- Flexibility to work outside normal working hours, if the job requires.
