**Description**

The Expedition Compliance Manager will handle:

- The watch of regulations, standards and events covering the expedition/exploration activities. This includes a special coverage of the polar areas, among them the IAATO and AECO organizations requirements and concerns;
- The analysis of the applicable requirements and the gap analysis with Ponant’s practices and processes. He/she will also propose the necessary projects, plans or procedures for complying and leveling up the operations.
- The overall compliance monitoring of expedition/exploration activities. It can be the setup, processes, permits, certifications, etcRelevant audits and controls will be carried out for assessments.
- The review of the products at the conception stage. Before the sale of the cruise product, he/she will integrate the design process for checking and validating the compliance/feasibility of targeted operations.
- The representation, on behalf of Ponant and Exploration Director, at regulatory bodies and comities including official company representation at IAATO and AECO. He/she will defend Ponant’s interests, and update management with ongoing discussions.

**Profil**

Professional proficiency:

- 5-10 years of experience in the expedition related activities, preferably with various operators
- Vast knowledge of general expedition itineraries worldwide; Polar experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of operating regulations and restrictions including IAATO and AECO
- Excellent project management skills
- Fluent in English and French, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Proven track record of effective administration and organization, attention to the detail
