**Job Description Summary**: Responsible for multiple software projects as a project leader or internal consultant.
**Scope (2 to 3 lines)**:
The “Solution Architect - Distribution” will be part of the Solution Design team, which mission is to ensure best in class and optimal technical design to meet customer functional and non-functional requirements, project budget and timescale.
The “Solution Architects - Distribution” drive, validate and audit the design of the solution during the different phases of the execution of a project. These phases begin from the Tendering stage and continue till the system acceptance in the customer site (Scope Review, Statement of Work, Solution review, Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, )
**Essential Responsibilities -**
- In coordination with the Services function (Delivery Manager and Project Manager), responsible for interacting with customers to define, produce and maintain optimal design based on customer needs and solution capabilities
- Facilitate requirements, design and solutions workshops that capture functional and non-functional requirements from the client, own the design deliverables (Statement of Work, Architecture documents), ensure traceability of requirements with solutions proposed
- Responsible for the communication and enforcement of Design to Customer and Key Project Stakeholders
- Manage involvement of other SMEs (e.g. business analysts, IT / Cybersecurity experts) and make sure their design contributions meet system architecture functional and non-functional requirements
- Drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement in their segment or domain (best practices and reference material - reference architectures, reference solutions)
- Collaborate with Product Managers & Engineering (Return on Experience, product enhancements, reference architectures)
- Build technical expertise in the field of their segment or domain. Deliver technical consultancy services on demand
- Coordinates knowledge capitalization and dissemination across the Services & Solution Design teams,
- Accountable for activities planning, progress reporting, and completing activities in his scope as per approved budget.
**Qualifications/Requirements -**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar program, with a focus on power systems or relevant experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be comfortable presenting technical design and technical solutions to clients/customers (English mandatory, French highly appreciated).
- Exposure to iterative product development and program management techniques including Agile, Safe, Scrum, DevOps
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments
- Able to work under mínimal supervision
- Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility
**Other - Desired**
- Electricity Industry knowledge, with 2+ years relevant work experience as a Business Analyst, consultant, or developer.
- Knowledge of emerging energy industry trends and implications on utility customers (Renewables and DER orchestration, distribution planning, IT, SCADA)
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux, Source code Management, Virtualization, IT administration, RDBMS architectures, Web technology integration,
- Experience of cloud and cloud native technologies such containers and Kubernetes,
- Proven experience in Services - Software Commissioning
