Camera Image Quality Project Lead

Smartphones and other connected objects have become essential tools for multimedia production and consumption. DXOMARK's Image Quality Experts are always on the lookout for new ways to evaluate photo and video performance and push camera modules to their limits. Our engineers work along the Camera Tuning teams of the most prestigious mobile phone makers to help them make sure that the camera they are working on will deliver the most beautiful images.
In order to support our growth, we are looking to recruit a Project Lead to join our Camera Team. He/she will be the main interface with our clients and make sure we deliver the best and most efficient service to achieve their technical objectives. He/she will join a team composed of Image Quality Experts, Developers and photographers and will have the chance to utilize both his/her technical knowledge (optics, signal processing, etc.) and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment that requires strong organizational skills.
**Technical expertise**
- Image Quality performance analysis of clients' smartphone prototypes using DXOMARK's internal tools and protocols (perceptual analysis & objective measurements)
- Test result interpretation and technical propositions (optics, hardware, algorithms,...) for image quality improvement
- Create detailed reports and documentation to feed our clients with results, recommendations and development priorities
- Technical training for clients (occasional trips abroad)
- Participate in developing internal tools and help improve our existing analysis protocols
**Customer relations and communication**
- As a Project Manager, you will be the main contact for the customer and manage resources and schedule planning, reception of customer requests and firmwares to be tested, providing regular feedback on project progress etc.
- Identify customer's image quality issues in order to activate and coordinate the necessary internal resources (human, camera labs and cameras)
- Assure high quality service and respect of deadlines
- Occasionally travel to clients' locations (mainly in Asia and the US)
- Assure an effective team work through regular feedback and status to team members and technical management
**PROFILE**
Engineer specialized in Image Processing, Optics, or equivalent experience in the field of image. Idealy you have a good understanding image acquisition pipeline and processing. You are familiar with the following terms : exposure, contrast, texture, white balance, noise, artifacts etc. You ideally have at least a first experience in a sector related to our ecosystem (cameras, smartphones, automotive, drones, medical imaging, defense), on a Project Manager position, or with equivalent tasks.

- Strong interest in new image technologies, and more globally in photography and video
- Open and collaborative, you like to work in a multidisciplinary team environment, composed of image quality experts, R&D developers and photographers
- Communication skills, enthusiasm, dynamism for internal exchanges and with clients
- Ability to organize, plan and anticipate
**You have the following skills**:
- Good level of technical communication (written and oral) in English to be able to discuss with clients (mostly US and Asia).
- Good presentation and teaching skills
**The following experience would be a plus**:
- Experience in ISP tuning or camera design
- Knowledge of a scripting language (ideally Python)
