**About this job**:
PartnerRe is a globally diversified reinsurer operating in a wide range of business lines, including life, which represents about 20% of our business. Our ambition is to continue to grow our life business, and in this context, the French market is key. Our development strategy is based on all protection & health products, with a large customer base including contacts with wholesale brokers.

In this context, we are looking for a **Pricing Actuary** (or depending on experience Senior Pricing Actuary) to join our **French market team**, reporting to the Head of Pricing France Life & Health, who can bring experience in product development. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development of our pricing team and the wider enhancement of PartnerRe’s Life & Health propositions.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Active involvement in the tender process for new and existing opportunities, collaborating with the Commercial Team and Medical Underwriters.
- Product development, in particular, perform pricing, find optimal segmentations and assist the Commercial Team to answer technical requests from clients
- Pricing of reinsurance treaties (proportional and non-proportional) with frequent exchanges with the Commercial Team and the Medical Underwriters.
- Conduct actuarial studies and experience analysis to improve our internal benchmarks. Go through approval process with the Central Pricing Team and share the findings with Reserving.
- Maintain and improve pricing tools for the French market.
- Accompany and support the Commercial Team at client meetings.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**:
You seek challenges and are driven by a desire to add value and continuously improve. You come with proven industry knowledge of France, a strategic market for PartnerRe.

You are a technically excellent actuary with a commercial sense.

You will bring expertise in protection product design and pricing.

Moreover, you have the following background and skills:

- Qualified actuary with (re-)insurance pricing, product development and portfolio analysis experience. Experience in direct insurance product development would be a plus.
- Knowledge of individual protection products in France, ideally of self-employed products (TNS).
- Technical skills are needed to analyze and visualize data. Full proficiency in Excel and R is needed. Knowledge of Moody’s AXIS is a plus.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French (client meetings) and in English (internal stakeholders), including the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an effective way.
