ITER is a unique, first of a kind project that aims to demonstrate the technical and scientific feasibility of fusion energy.

Jacobs one of three partners making up the Consortium MOMENTUM (construction management-as-agent contractor) is project managing the construction and assembly of more than one million components in world’s largest fusion reactor.

As construction management-as-agent contractor, MOMENTUM is managing the construction and assembly of the first full-scale test reactor to include balance of plant and the Tokomak itself. Jacobs is recruiting a **Commercial Manager** (F/H) with **8 years of experience**, to work near Aix-en-Provence (Saint-Paul-Lez-Durance), France.

In constant interaction with the operational Leadership Team of Momentum, you will support the Project Director and General Manager in the daily management of the CMA Contract between Momentum SNC and the ITER Organization. This includes Tender management & Offer preparation, Contract amendments negotiations, signature process, contractual execution in relation to projects and amendments, but also high implication in the reviews and preparation of annual ITPs.

As part of the SNC Team, you will also manage the Subcontractors and all contractual relationship between the Joint-Venture (SNC) and its Partners.

He/She will be responsible for:
**CMA Contract management**
- Support the Project Director in customer meetings, support the delivery of the JV objectives, advising on the contract issues, interpretation, offering commercial solutions.
- Technical Specifications review and updates.
- Conduct commercial risk assessments on bids, provide input to bids, support to coordination and aggregation of all inputs to constitute an offer.
- Official communications / Support Project Director in preparing Momentum general communications to the customer and responding to all General Communications from customer (CEMAR Tool)
- Change Management.

**Risk Management**
- Support CFO (contribute) in maintaining the Momentum JV Commercial Risk Register.
- Support the Project Early Warning process to ensure an instruction is put into place and utilized appropriately by the Momentum team.
- Gifts & Hospitalities follow-up.

**Commercial Awareness**
- Attend to weekly Operational (Leadership Team) meetings to feed Momentum Ops Team with any valuable update to support their activities; reciprocally, collect any feedback from Ops Team which may require your intervention, provide advice.
- Commercial Training for the operational teams, to provide them with CMA Contract terms awareness.
- Foster constructive feedback. Target is to allow constant collection of inputs to feed the Client with proactive proposals for improvement or service.

**JV Contractual activities & Reporting**
- Manage subcontracts, place task order subcontracts to Momentum to support the needs of the project. Maintain these subcontracts and perform annual reviews to ensure quality delivery is achieved.
- Manage the Momentum JV Shareholders’ Agreement, prepare any necessary amendment, liaise with Partners’ legal counsel
- Prepare and attend Monthly SteerCo and report the Commercial activities and stakes to the partners, collect partners’ approvals where needed

**Collaborative working**:

- Using reach back to the Partners to support the development of the Collaborative Management Plan in accordance with ISO44001: train JV and IO Teams, lead workshops, maintain interest & animation, work on the outputs to build Action Plans, follow-up.

**Processes**
- Review and Governance on Commercial and Procurement (including bids) activities.
- For example, assurance around framework agreements as well as task orders, ensure that these agreements commercially align with our own CMA Contract
- Conduct informal and formal commercial health checks against the CMA Commercial process and procedures, identify improvement areas, and support the deployment of continuous improvement. Identify key commercial tasks, support the allocation of resources and the task management
- Improve and implement RACI Matrix and MJV procedures.
- Participate in and support any Audit process (initiated by IO Client or by Partners)
