We are a creative and international team that is well networked in the European research landscape. In close cooperation with internal and external partners, we develop innovations for the energy transition based on the 3 molecules H2, CO2 and CO. Our passion is to deliver efficient process engineering solutions that are put to use in industrial operations. At our Innovation Campus we are providing an open experimental platform using co-creation, task forces and agile project management. Our network is open to ideas and this leads to numerous partnerships worldwide. **At Innovation Campus Frankfurt**, there are 59 people from 10 nationalities and additionally up to 10 international students. In the direct team in which the VIE position will be integrated we are 8 permanent employees - a young, highly motivated and competent team gathering diverse experts related to Process, Simulation, Technology Development on the Energy Transition. **Spoken languages include English, German, French.** In the light of the energy transition, we concentrate on innovative methods for **sustainable H2 and syngas generation**, as well as the decarbonization of industrial gases and the production and storage of energy. In this framework, challenges arise where digitalization will become a key enabler. We would like to strengthen our existing team in this rapidly growing field. **You will get a great level of design freedom and personal training on the job.** **Missions and Responsibilities** - Contribution to R&D projects in the field of process development in interdisciplinary teams - Development of complex dynamic simulation models, based on first principle or data-driven methods and process optimization (model-based experimental analysis, model-predictive and real-time process optimization) - Active promotion of the activities for Digitalization & Operational Excellence in the process development environment - Communication with internal and external collaboration partners for the technology development inspired by an entrepreneur mindset **Competencies and Profile** - **Master Degree in Process or Chemical Engineering (must)**: - Good knowledge of the common tools in the field of process development, reaction engineering and thermodynamics (Aspen or G-Proms) - Advanced knowledge of process simulation & numerical tools - Experience in Techno-Economic Assessment would be appreciated - Very good analytical and strategic competencies It's nice if you have: - Professional appearance as well as presentation and moderation skills - Strong communication abilities and enjoying to work in international teams - Curiosity, flexibility and organized - Relevant industrial internships in process engineering or process modeling - Self-motivated, self-aware and taking initiatives - High level of self-initiative as well as creativity for new solutions and open mind-set - Eager to develop new competences and able to deal with complexity **Language: Fluent English is mandatory**, (German is helpful but not required) **Additional information** Please send your CV and motivation letter in English** **Position based in **Frankfurt, Germany for an initial period of 18 months**, extendable once.** The V.I.E., an international young graduate program, enables young professionals who are less than 28 and European Union nationals to work for a French company in any country of the world.
