Zendar is hiring a software engineer with a strong mathematical background.

**About Zendar**:
Zendar is creating a high-resolution radar imaging system that has resolution similar to lidar, allowing cars to see in inclement weather. We are a team of electrical, mechanical, software engineers and researchers developing the next generation radar technology. We want to change the role of radar in the autonomous driving sensor stack and demonstrate that radars can take on many of the functions of lidar at a much lower cost and in all weather conditions.

Zendar was founded in the San Francisco Bay area, at the very heart of one of the most advanced regions in the development of autonomous vehicles technologies. We also opened an office in South Germany to capitalize on the decades of experience in the automotive radar industry of the area, and are setting up a new office in Paris.

We are looking for a Software Research Engineer to help us create the world's highest-fidelity radar point cloud. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting research, designing algorithms, and implementing production-level real-time code, in order to extract information from the raw radar data and generate a high-resolution representation of the environment surrounding the vehicle. This role will have the opportunity to write high-performance, real-time software and develop very strong software engineering skills

**Required Qualifications**:

- Proficient in Python and modern C++ (we use C++14)
- Strong mathematical skills, most importantly linear algebra, statistics and optimization
- Some familiarity with signal processing and computer vision
- Bac+5 general degree, with a specialization in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with sensor data (e.g. camera, lidar, radar, IMU/GPS) and/or sensor fusion
- Experience in Mapping and Localization (SLAM, visual odometry, etc) and/or multi-object tracking
- Experience with CUDA or GPU programming
- Experience in machine learning and deep neural network
