- Our client, Integris, seeks a forward-thinking R&D Manager to support their EMEA Material Engineering and Simulation team. As the French R&D Manager, you will coordinate and prioritize tasks for both R&D and shooting range technicians and ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials, ammunition, and power, which will require a keen eye for organizational efficiency. You will be actively involved in monitoring the manufacturing of samples, conducting internal ballistics tests, and delivering comprehensive results to end-users. This role is instrumental in distributing and prioritizing projects for the R&D Engineers, managing the R&D process within the Quality Management system, and actively contributing to developing and optimizing ballistic solutions. This includes the advancement of new materials. International, cross-divisional collaboration and a forward-thinking leadership style are keys to being successful in this role._
- This position is based at the Integris manufacturing facility in Primarette (Greater Lyon area), France, and reports directly to the European Head of Materials Engineering & Simulations._

**Responsibilities**
- Manage, coordinate, plan, and prioritize tasks for R&D technicians and shooting range technicians.
- Monitor the manufacturing of samples and provide necessary information to R&D technicians.
- Oversee technological monitoring and conduct internal ballistics tests, delivering results to end-users.
- Participate in and coordinate projects with universities or state organizations.
- Distribute and prioritize projects for R&D Engineers
- Ensure effective management of the R&D process within the Quality Management system.
- Develop ballistic solutions based on input from strategic must win battles, Sales, or Project Management
- Optimize existing solutions in alignment with standards or new materials.
- Manage safety within the shooting range and stock levels for the laboratory and ammunition/powder relevant for the shooting range.
- Participate in external shooting tests for sample qualification.
- Contribute to the development of new materials, focusing on improving secondary properties (glue adhesion, fire resistance, etc)

**What We Expect from You**
**Your Work Experience & Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (chemistry, mechanical, technical têxtiles, composite materials)
- 5+ years of R&D experience
- Robust understanding and knowledge of ballistics, and composites or fibers
- Experience in a multinational work environment
- Able and willing to travel up to 15%, mostly within Europe
- Fluent in French, with a basic level of English proficiency.
