The Opportunity:
**In this role you will**:
- Lead analysis to support carbon-free energy transactions, investment, and market development opportunities
- Assess and translate competition, industry trends, emerging challenges, and changes in the marketplace into structuring strategies
- Develop ad-hoc analysis to assist in the negotiation of transaction structuring
- Create, streamline, and manage the data, processes, and tools associated with Google’s portfolios of data center and carbon-free energy.
**We would love to hear from you if you**:
- Have a bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Have 2+ years’ work experience in a related role (for example: structuring wholesale energy market business, contract management, carbon-free-energy portfolio analysis management, project finance, M&A asset management, commercial operations, etc.)
- Demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills
- Possess excellent cross-functional collaboration and an ability to coordinate effectively with energy experts and non-experts
- Demonstrate project management and reporting experience.
**Preferred qualifications**
- Have a Masters in quantitative field; wholesale electricity markets and structuring experience in multiple regions globally
- Have experience in programming and building quantitative models that leverage. SQL based queries to convert data into business insights
- Have experience in programming and building quantitative models (including statistical techniques)
- Possess SQL based queries to convert data into business insights.
All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.
